Want a great sunset? Come to Lake of the Pines!
One of the great things about living in Lake of the Pines, CA is going out on our pontoon boat at sunset.
In Lake of the Pines, Wednesday and Saturday nights are deemed "Quiet Hour". No boat can travel more than 5mph. This leaves the entire lake open for floating and fishing. It's very common to see 3 or 4 pontoon boats tied together in the middle of the lake for a big floating potluck party. And on the lake, you have a front row seat to some of the best sunsets in the world (IMHO).
Last Wednesday we went out with some friends, (and our pup Pepper!) for dinner and floating to beat the heat, and the sunset did not disappoint.
There was a little cloud cover, which turned to a few sprinkles. I'm not a professional photographer, but I hope I captured some of the spectacular colors in the following pictures.
Lake of the Pines is a private golf course and lake community located in the Sierra Foothills. If you're interested in learning more about the area, or homes for sale in Lake of the Pines, contact me. I'd be happy to take you and your family out on the boat for a sunset cruise!
