You still get small-town charm and foothill scenery, but you're not adding real distance to a job or family that's still tied to the valley. It's a softer landing for people who aren't ready to fully unplug from commute life yet.

Lake Wildwood tends to fit you if you want:

Auburn tends to fit you better if you want:
